Boundary Surveying – Lost Dimensions

This project entails the subdivision of a of a heavily timbered parcel of land situated northwest of Emmaville, marked by a substantial elevation variation of around 200 metres. Vehicle access was difficult, a notable amount of walking was involved.

The original boundary information, recorded in Crown Plan 6849-1761, was critical but unfortunately found to be damaged, with key dimensions no longer legible. As no duplicates or field notes were available from the State Archives, historical mining lease surveys in the surrounding area were examined and compiled to help re-establish the original boundaries.

Collaboration with Land Registry Services ensured a suitable and agreed-upon outcome for both the authorities and the landowners.
